We currently have offices in Sheffield (our HQ), Leeds, Manchester & Bristol, however, a lot of us work remotely. We prefer for everyone to work however is best for them – all we ask is that people go into the office a few times a month and for team / client meetings when required.

Our Managing Consultants are exemplars in project and product delivery, have a detailed knowledge and deep understanding of Agile, and provide high quality professional services to our customers. This is a pivotal role at Nimble, spanning both day to day client work as well as working with a Divisional leadership team to define and execute against strategic plans.
The Managing Consultant will be:
A delivery expert who has Agile delivery lead experience in both single and multi team projects, and is able to lead teams to deliver value whilst balancing the needs of the team members, the client, and Nimble.
A relationship builder who is able to foster long term relationships with clients in order to build Nimble's brand as a trusted technology partner.
A people focused leader who can create a positive working environment that is inclusive for all Nimblers and help make Nimble a great place to work.
A team player who works with colleagues to balance the ever changing supply and demand landscape in order to help Nimble achieve its strategic and tactical goals.
An expert consultant who has significant experience in technology consultancy and is able to draw upon this experience to deal with any issues that may arise.
A commercially focused individual who understands how to create proposals that are commercially viable for Nimble and deliver value for money for our clients.
An all rounder who is willing to take on a challenge and can adapt to any industry, sector, working approach and remains motivated to drive successful outcomes.
Key elements of the role
While we expect our Managing Consultants to be accountable for all aspects of delivery within a portfolio, we also recognise that some of these activities and tasks may be delegated to other members of the team as we scale.
It is also expected that our Managing Consultants play a billable consulting role on some of our more complex, high profile or high opportunity projects. This may include setting up new projects and teams, as well as helping teams troubleshoot, and mitigate, project issues and risks.
Business Development
Write & input into case studies, articles, blogs etc to promote our delivery capability both within and outside of Nimble
Sales Discovery calls - scoping out new work and opportunities
Contribute to and support sales activities for bids, tenders, pre-sales work=
Good Project Outcomes
Work alongside the Tech Lead and Head of Division to ensure good project outcomes for customers and staff at Nimble
Responsible for health of all projects delivered within the portfolio, escalating issues with proposed solutions / options where appropriate
Ensure projects are delivered in line with Nimble’s cultural values
Ensure consistency of approach across projects
Empower and coach teams to deliver good outcomes for our customers. Teams may be made up of a combination of Nimble Staff, customer staff and partners
Ensure project delivery teams are setup for success, including makeup, organisation and delivery processes
Provide lightweight supportive independent monitoring of projects within the Division
Commercial awareness
Engagement with existing customers, identifying customer satisfaction, cross sell, marketing opportunities
Write Statements of Work, taking input from business, client and technical stakeholders
Track and forecast commercials at project, account and portfolio levels
Understand gross margin targets for each engagement, and impact of decisions on these
Work with Head of Division and Tech Lead to ensure projects and engagements are commercially successful
Autonomy
Able to work independently to achieve agreed objectives, making decisions and gaining consensus on appropriate actions and decisions
Able to escalate when issues fall outside ability or remit, proposing potential solutions and options for resolution
Able to effectively manage time across multiple projects, clients and internal responsibilities
Influence
Build strong relationships with senior delivery stakeholders within clients
Lead on engagements with customers throughout all stages of work
Create and support collaborative ways of working within Nimble
Build relationship with the wider delivery community, promoting Nimble and our technical opinions
Hiring
Make hiring recommendations based on existing skills mix within the business and expected project needs
Carry out and contribute to vetting, scenarios, and interviews
