Background
Nimble is a growing product and technology consultancy. Our HQ is in Sheffield with hubs in Manchester and Leeds. We have over 150 consultants across approximately 20 clients, with plans for significant growth over the coming years, following our recent investment from SCC. As a rapidly growing consultancy, we operate in both private and public sectors. Our clients are medium to large scale enterprises in industries ranging from education, healthcare,retail, manufacturing, betting and gaming, fintech and utilities.
Our Business Development Managers play a key role in our direct sales efforts, often being the first point of contact for prospective clients. They are responsible for meeting our shared sales targets and providing business development expertise within Nimble. By building strong relationships with both current and future customers, they ensure that Nimble is represented in the best possible light, creating a pipeline of high-quality customer engagements.

A Proven Track Record:
● Demonstrable experience in achieving and exceeding targets in a B2B environment.
● Strong background in business development, preferably within the consultancy or

work independently and as part of a small, dynamic team to create proposals and bids
for our customers.

● You will be able to find new, creative ways of engaging potential Nimble clients and
balance that with a structured and organised way of working that keeps everyone in
the loop and engages other team members when the time is right.
Responsibilities of the role
As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for identifying and engaging with new client opportunities. You’ll work from initial contact through to closure and handover to our delivery teams. Responsibilities include:
Develop and Implement Lead Generation Strategies:
● Formulate and execute strategic plans to identify, qualify and engage prospects to
achieve company targets and expand our client base.
● Identify new business opportunities and cultivate positive and trusted relationships
with prospective clients in our target sectors.
Client Relationship Management:
● Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships by understanding their
needs and providing tailored, relevant and pragmatic propositions.
● Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insights and strategic guidance to help
them achieve their business objectives.Sales Pipeline Management:
● Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups and
progression of opportunities through the sales funnel.
● Utilise our CRM tools to track, analyse, and report on lead generation activities,
performance and pipeline metrics.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
● Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, delivery, technology and
consulting, to align sales efforts with overall company goals.
● Provide support and advice to other non-BD team members, fostering a collaborative
and high-performance culture.
Industry Insight, Research and Analysis:
● You will develop an understanding of the wider business and technology consulting
landscape, staying updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market
dynamics to identify challenges and opportunities.
● Conduct market research to inform sales strategies and enhance our value
proposition to clients.
